This site is intended to serve as an information center for the south east Michigan hardcore scene. Anyone can comment, but posting privileges are limited to people actively involved in the scene, such as playing in bands, putting on shows, running labels or distros, organizing events, etc. to keep the gossip, drama, and high school bullshit to a minimum. Musically the focus is on hardcore and punk, but the boundaries are not definite. Metal bands that play frequently with DIY hardcore bands are part of the scene, and weak bar rock bands that get written up as "punk" in the paper are not. Given the challenge of the geographical spread of the population of south east Michigan, this site is intended to bring people together and make information and news available to everyone.
